Dhaka, May 10 (UNB) - An exclusive exhibition titled ‘The Little Artist’ will begin on Friday at Abinta Gallery of Fine Arts.
The Abinta Kabir Foundation and Abinta Gallery of Fine Arts will organise the exhibition showcasing the works from the art competitions throughout the months of February, March and April in various schools in Dhaka and Chittagong.
Eminent artists of Bangladesh Hamiduzzaman Khan and Kanak Chanpa Chakma will inaugurate the exhibition while chairperson of Abinta Gallery of Fine Arts Nilu Rowshon Murshed will preside over the inaugural ceremony.
Nilu Rowshon Murshed said “Abinta Kabir’s love and respect for her country serves as an example to the youth of Bangladesh. From a very early age Abinta valued Bangladesh’s culture, and was aware of the hardships faced by its people. Yet she was immensely proud of her nationality.”
To commemorate Abinta’s passion to art and patriotic spirit- the art competitions were organized in different schools, into different age groups and the students were engaged to draw artworks using their creative minds to feel the significance of the day when the art competition took place.
The best artworks from every school have been selected by renowned Bangladeshi artist to exhibit in the following exhibition while the artworks were mostly conducted in pastel drawing along with water color and color pencil.
A total of 66 art works will be displayed in the exhibition from the participant schools - ABC School, Abinta Kabir Foundation School, Amader Pathshala, Chittagong Grammar School (British Curriculum), Chittagong Grammar School (Dhaka),Chittagong Grammar School (National Curriculum), Frobel Academy, Chittagong, Oxford International School and Scholastica.
The exhibition will run until 15th May from 10 am to 8 pm.
