Dhaka, Aug 16 (UNB) – With remembrance to the tragic assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family, Dhaka University Film Society (DUFS) and Bangladesh Film Archive on Thursday jointly organised a two-day long programme including film screening.
Marking the National Mourning Day, the programme titled ‘Celluloid e Bangabandhu’, was kicked off at TSC auditorium of DU.
Several exhibitions including infographics, artworks on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and film screening have been organized, said a press release.
Rare video productions and films of historical importance which were recorded on various stages of Bangabandhu’s life are being screened in the programme.
The videos and films are Shadhin Banglay phire elen Bangabandhu, Chironjeeb Bangabandhu, Bangabandhu’s speech in United Nations, Mujibnagar Government, Arms Surrender of Freedom Fighters, Bangabandhu and Bangladesh, Bangabandhu’s Japan Tour, Tomar e houk joy, Bisshwoshobhay Bangladesh, Great Reception in Delhi, India, Esho Desh Gori, 7 March speech of Bangabandhu and Rahman, the father of Bengal.
The two-day long programme will continue screening films till 8pm on Friday.
